Around the world, the Church faces insurmountable challenges. Bible famine, persecution and violent oppression, government restrictions, and now a virus that has closed building doors.

But the Church has never been a building, and the Word has never been inactive. The Church can thrive throughout oppression because our faith is in an eternal God, who gives hope and peace to our present circumstances.

Training and equipping the Church is the heart of our ministry. When you provide a church with God's Word, you equip the people to introduce people in their community to Jesus. That's what the “Grow Your Church” Kit is for.

When the COVID-19 lockdown is safely over, we’ll be ready to go! Once they complete a training session, a pastor will receive the “Grow Your Church” Kit you provide. Can you see how you're helping to launch their church into new growth?

Experiencing crisis together gives us empathy for one another, and an acute awareness of the need for the gospel of Jesus Christ…right here in our neighbourhoods to the other side of the world. Your participation and financial support will equip an international church to reach their community, replacing fear and despair with the love and hope found in God's Word.

This is a time to slow down and think beyond ourselves. Thank you for sharing the gospel at this moment in history when the need for it is overwhelmingly recognized...because the gospel changes everything.

The challenge

The world is full of challenging places. Places we forget or don’t talk about. Places where the suffering is too great. Where people face discrimination, violence, neglect, and exploitation—without anywhere to turn for comfort, healing, and peace.

These are the places other western missions groups rarely visit because they’re too remote. But God has not forgotten these communities; His heart is for these people living on the margins. This is where He calls our ministry.

Starting right here in Canada and throughout the world’s forgotten places, people are opening their hearts and waiting to receive God’s Word. This is your moment to stand with the believers God is calling to share the gospel in their communities—because the gospel changes everything.

Places like:

The Miskito Indigenous communities of Nicaragua—the poorest people in the poorest country in Central America, who are suffering discrimination and displacement
Remote, rural communities in China, where women with no theological training but lots of passion are leading home churches in their impoverished communities—even while husbands work hundreds of kilometres away
The Mapuche in Chile, living in isolation, destitution, and under threat of dispossession of their lands from others who want to exploit the natural resources
Lost villages in Siberia, where the young have left to find employment in the city while the elderly are left on their own
In the streets of India’s cities, where pastors are boldly sharing God’s Word with the marginalized and the poor, even while facing the threat of persecution and violence
Even our own country of Canada, reaching the forgotten who suffer from poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges

In these groups that never make headlines, hearts hunger for the Word of God. Men, women, and children seek comfort and encouragement in the midst of desperate circumstances.

As their hearts open to God’s leading, small churches are forming as a place of refuge and hope. Pastors are responding to the challenges in their community, but they don’t have the resources they need to shepherd their flock.
